Foster a Dog

AFLAR is a foster-based rescue. We do not have a facility, so this makes foster families essential to our mission. Without fosters, we cannot save as many animals. Foster families provide temporary homes for rescued dogs, while they're waiting for their forever home. We carefully match each dog and foster family, for the best working situation. We offer guidance along the way, and training if needed. We provide medical care for all of our dogs, as well as a collar, leash, and a crate. If possible, we appreciate if the foster home is able to provide food, as it helps cut down on our expenses. Even though fostering is meant to be a temporary situation, sometimes fosters become attached and decide that they would like to adopt the dog. We completely understand.  Many of us have dogs of our own, that started out as fosters.  This is why, as a foster parent, you will have first choice to adopt. Please consider opening your home to a dog in need. It is one of the most rewarding and generous contributions that you can make, to help save a loving dog.

If you are interested in becoming a foster, please complete the foster application below and submit.
