Join Us for a Big Pack Walk—August 19
We are having a big dog pack walk on Saturday, August 19, meeting a 10 a.m. at the San Buenaventura Beach Park in Ventura. We will park on Sanjon Drive and meet under the freeway in the small lot there. Then we will walk along the beach and around the park. All AFLAR alumni, current dogs and AFLAR volunteer and friends dogs, are welcome. Gail Major, our trainer, will be with us to help with any training issues. Precious is Adopted! 😃
Precious is adopted!!! A senior Chihuahua and a favorite at Ventura County Animal Services, Precious was recently pulled from the shelter by AFLAR. Now she has just been adopted into her new forever home. I went to visit Precious, now named Gracie, and her new Mom, Jean, and took photos. She is just the happiest little girl, and so loved! Pack Walk A Big Success!
Our recent AFLAR pack walk at San Buenaventura Park, was a big hit with both the 4-legged and 2-legged creatures! It was such good socialization, and fun for all of us. Actually, it was more of a walk and hang, which was fine with everyone. We had to stop for potty breaks, leash instruction, rolling in the grass, pictures, water and chatting. Fundraiser Brings Out Lazy Dogs!
The August 2nd fundraiser for All For Love Animal Rescue at the Lazy Dog Restaurant in Oxnard, brought out lots of dogs and their humans! There were many dogs on the patio, and we had a great time visiting with them all. Many thanks to Stephanie for organizing this fun event.
