I wanted to share with you some joyous news for Thanksgiving—CLOVE IS SAFE!!! I picked her up from the shelter yesterday on Thanksgiving Eve, and brought her to a vet hospital where she is receiving tons of love, good food, peace and quiet. For the first time in a long time, Clove ate really well, and they’re going to give her extr

RAVEN is an adorable senior female chihuahua mix, who had been living out in a yard for several years, and was rescued from an abusive home. Kathy asked me if AFLAR would take Raven on and find her a loving home. Of course I said, YES!!! Well, at the very first AFLAR adoption event we had Raven at, she struck gold! Raven h
Please share the good news! BRUNO was out of time at the shelter. There were urgent pleas for him, and then a last call went out and no one was coming for this boy. Bruno has serious resource guarding problems with food, and needs rehabilitation to work on these issues. AFLAR is committed to getting him the help he needs. We got him out of the shelter yesterday, and he was so happy! Special thanks to trainer GAIL MAJOR, for always being there when I ask, to VCAS for reaching
We're so very happy to announce that our RIDLEY IS ADOPTED!!! We pulled this sweet girl from the Ventura County Animal Shelter in June, where she was loved by many volunteers. We are so thrilled that another of our pit bull angels, has found her forever home!
