AFLAR Rescues "Precious" from Shelter
We just pulled this little senior girl named “PRECIOUS," and she is already in a wonderful foster home with one of our awesome AFLAR supporters, Maureen. Precious has two foster doggie brothers and they’re all getting on great. Precious spent most of the evening last night in Maureen’s lap, and slept peacefully in her comfy crate beside Maureen’s bed. Special thanks to VCAS volunteers and staff for taking such good care of Precious, Maureen for opening her heart & home to fos

Callie and Scrappy Update
Remember Callie and Scrappy? They are the senior pit bull bonded couple that AFLAR rescued from VCAS last year. They were adopted—together—last December, on my birthday! I wanted to give you a wonderful update and share a photo of them in their forever home. Seeing their sweet faces and knowing they are together and happy and safe, reminds me why we rescue, and why we must keep fighting for these angels! 💗 Maripat Davis

Fefe Has A Forever Home!
FEFE IS ADOPTED!!! FEFE was rescued by AFLAR off death row from a high kill shelter in L.A. Luckily for her, she was spotted by trainer/dog behaviorist Diana Edwards and brought to our attention. She was at the back of the shelter, rescue only, simply because she got out of her former owners broken fenced yard. No one even knew she was there, and the shelter was not networking her at all. She was going to be killed. Thank goodness Maripat got to work and pulled her for AFLAR.

All For Love Rescues Layla
I saw this adorable Pit Bull girl being turned into the Camarillo shelter, and I couldn’t stop thinking about her! She has a sweet, innocent quality about her, and is very friendly with everyone she meets. Special thanks to Gail Major, a wonderful trainer, for helping me get photos of Layla, and also for picking her up for me, from the shelter yesterday! Maripat Davis, AFLAR President & Founder
